I am Marie and I have been caring for children professionally for many years. My husband of 7 years is very supportive of my work with children and often helps me supervise the group in the evenings or on weekends. We have two daughters of our own, age 2 and 5.

I am a member of the YMCA Child Care Plus Council and the Hillsborough County School Readiness Group, a resource and referral organization, which strives to raise the standards of childcare through education and legislation.

I participate in the Home Preschool Program for teaching youngsters colors, shapes, letters, and numbers. I also use the ABeka curriculum (Christian home schooling) for preschool learning center and circle time activities.

I am also a member of CCVillage.com, a resource for childcare providers, like myself who are interested in raising the standards of childcare through education awareness and networking.

I have taken training workshops in infant and child safety and CPR, effective methods of nurturing positive growth and development in WWI, proper nutrition for children, and craft ideas.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and four additional years of seminary training with an emphasis on children's ministry. I am working towards my child development associate and finishing my master's degree in early childhood education.

I am also pursuing Gold Seal Quality Care Program accreditation through National Association of Family Child Care.

I have been licensed by Hillsborough County , Florida (license # FTA431294) to care for children in my home. This means that after investigating me and my spouse's background, visiting my home and collecting references regarding my character and abilities, Florida has given me approval to care for children in my home.

A surprise inspection occurs frequently to ensure parents are receiving value for their tuition and that their children are well cared for in a safe environment.
